Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.This solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-20. The solicitation number is for F34601-03-Q-50011. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). Closing date for quotations will be received at the issuing office until 3:00 PM on 06 Feb 03. Source(s) is/are (Cage 63005) Rolls-Royce Corp, 2001 Tibbs Ave, Indianapolis IN 46206. Size/Dimension: Length is 20.165 inches; diameter is 13.967 inches, applicable to T-56 engines (-7/-15). The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336412. This is a requirement for Line Item 0001; NSN: 2840-00-011-0692OJ. Form/Fit/Function: T-56 gearbox, C-130 , rotate prop. Qty 11 ea; P/N: 6842657; government and commercial surplus may be acceptable. Items must be new/unused and manufactured by Rolls Royce Inc. Certification of manufacturer is required. Assets must be in their original packaging and meet all required inspection and testing criteria outlined in the 2J-T5-53. Place of delivery and acceptance is: Tinker AFB (FB2039). An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
