- This is a Sources Sought Notice for Market Research only by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) for the DDESS Schools located on U.S. military bases in South Carolina at Laurel Bay and Ft Jackson (both PreK- 6 ), New York at West Point (PreK- 8), and Virginia at Quantico (PreK-12). There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. 32 CFR Part 80 entitled, "Provision of Early Intervention Services to Eligible Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities and Their Families, and Special Education and Related Services to Children with Disabilities within the Section 6 School Arrangement" mandates the provision of special education services to DoDEA students with disabilities. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to identify qualified sources that can provide part time staff support services for Special Needs students at the subject DDESS schools. DoDEA seeks state certified teachers within each local school area for school-aged students in the following positions a. Autism Therapist, b. Occupational Therapist, c. Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), d. Physical Therapist, e. Speech-Language Pathologist, f. Hearing Impaired Teacher, g. Impaired Vision Therapist, h. Paraprofessional, i. Multiple-Severe Needs Teacher; as well as the non-teaching position of Transportation Safety Attendant. For the teaching positions, qualified sources shall: 1. Have experience in: a) the linkage of goal development and services to educational needs rather than medical needs, and b) the development and implementation of student Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals; 2. Be capable of: a) providing direct student services, as well as consultative services to school staff , parents, and students, in accordance with student IEP goals b) developing revised IEPs and completing educational assessments, c) working a highly flexible work schedule during the regular school year (Fall and Spring Sessions) and if needed, the Summer session. For the Safety Attendant position, qualified sources shall have experience in: 1. Transport assistance of Special needs students, 2. Correct installation and use of child safety restraint systems (CSRS), and 3. Monitoring and maintaining good passenger conduct. This is a Sources Sought Notice for MARKET RESEARCH ONLY. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS EXIST AT THIS TIME. All responses shall include: a) Your (company's) name; point of contact and phone number; b) A statement of capabilities or resume, c) A list of all appropriate certifications; d) Your company's current price list or hourly rates; e) Past Performance References, if any, to include: point of contact name, telephone number, address, and brief description of services provided ; and f) Identification of the DDESS school location for which vendor can locally provide services.
