- NA The Iowa National Guard wishes to contract for construction services to upgrade the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar and Shops, and upgrade the Shops and Operations Facilities located at the Iowa Air National Guard Base, 2920 Headquarters Avenue, Sioux City, I owa. The work includes, but is not limited to, all materials, labor, tools, expendable equipment, utility and transportation services, and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete, in a workmanlike manner. The work required for the combined c onstruction, including general, mechanical, and electrical work for the Shops and Operations Facilities, and Aircraft Maintenance Hangar. The work consists of remodeling buildings 235, 252, 253, 254, and 261. There will also be additions constructed to b uildings 254 and 261. At a minimum the work may require laborers, carpenters, masons, equipment operators, pipefitters, cement finishers, electricians, sheetmetal workers, welders, iron workers, bricklayers, painters, roofers, sprinkler fitters, floor lay ers, glaziers, plumbers, and insulators. The estimated construction period is 540 days. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 1542 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, with a size standard of $28,500 ,000.00. The magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. This project has been assigned Invitation for Bid (IFB) number, DAHA13-03-B-0002. The solicitation will only be available through the Nationwide NG Posting for Electronic Business Solicitation (EBS) via LINKURL: http://216.81.179.134/ebs/advertisedsolicitations.asp. The IFB will be available on or about 29 April 2003. The specifications and IFB packet will be in Adobe Acrobat Reader format, which is free software available at www.adobe.com. It is the potential bidder?s responsibility to monitor the Guard?s Internet site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential bidders will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Th e bid opening is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on 29 May 2003, at the 185 ARW/DE, Base Civil Engineer?s Office, Iowa Air National Guard Base, 2920 Headquarters Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa. The anticipated award date is 6 June 2003. Successful bidder must be regis tered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). CCR Registration information may be accessed online at http:// www.ccr.gov/. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by USPFO-PC.
