- The Federal Highway Administration intends to award, by Total Small Business Set Aside, to perform, ?Engineering Support and Evaluation Precast Concrete Pavement? for three field demonstrations of innovative concrete highway technology. For background information, see report titled, ?The Feasibility of Using Precast Concrete Panels to Expedite Highway Pavement Construction?. This Report, Number 9-1517-1, was published in March 2000 by the Center for Transportation Research at the University of Texas-Austin. Additional reports were published in the proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Concrete Pavements, and the 81st and 82nd Meetings of the Transportation Research Board (TRB), January 2002 and January 2003, respectively.
