- Description
- This project will consist of grading, drainage, and aggregate surfacing on 3.084 kilometers of roadway for NE PFH 7-1(3), Soldier Creek Road, in Fort Robinson State Historic Park, Nebraska National Forest, Sioux County, State of Nebraska. Estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Principal work items: lump sum contractor testing; drainage and miscellaneous survey and staking; 2,180 m silt fence; 145 m sediment control log; 5,000 m3 watering for dust control; 6.7 ha clearing and grubbing; 40,900 m3 roadway excavation; 560 m3 combined placed riprap class 2 and class 5; 7,600 metric tons aggregate surface course grading G; 75 m3 concrete; 270 m pipe culvert (various); heavy equipment operators; 4,590 m3 placing conserved topsoil; 4.8 ha each seeding and mulching; 4,850 m2 erosion control mat type 2; installation, removal and resetting signs; delineators type 1; traffic control and warning lights types A & C. Amendments to this solicitation will be issued in paper format to all plan holders and will be posted on our website at http://www.cflhd.gov/procurement. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
