Description

The solicitation for this project will be available to review and print on the FedBizOpps web site in approximately 15 days. The Sand Creek Bridge Replacement consists of removal of the existing structure, a treated wood deck and superstructure also a treated nail laminated wood. Construct a new treated nail laminated wood deck superstructure combination and the abutments which are also treated nail laminated wood construction. The new bridge will be twenty-eight feet long and sixteen feet wide. The new structure will place the abutments outside of the 50 year flood plain so excavation will be required. The new structure will have a bituminous wear surface. The project location: Take State Highway 225 from Elko, Nevada to Wildhorse Reservoir (about 65 miles). Turn right on County Road 745 (bearing approximately Easterly). Continue on this road for about 7 miles, until the junction at Point of Rocks (a large rock outcropping which stands out on the ground and is also shown on the Forest Service Mountain City and Jarbidge Ranger District Map). Take a right on Forest Service Road 930 (bearing approximately Easterly). After just ? mile take a left on the Forest Road 931. Continue on this road (Northerly) for 6.7 miles over Telephone Creek to Sand Creek bridge site. Est. price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Est. start date is 08/04/03 with 60 calendar days for completion. This proposed procurement is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, which is not a small business set aside.
