Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice requesting information needed by the Government prior to release of any potential solicitation. Please read this entire Notice. OFFERORS MUST RESPOND TO THE QUESTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award a contract. The Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic is investigating the probability of replacing aging HF radio equipment on the 270 ft class vessels. Each ship has four 1 Kilowatt transceivers that need to be replaced. The following represent a list of minimum characteristics for a replacement system: Frequency 1.6-29.999 MHZ 1 KW PEP output Operating Modes: USB, LSB, ISB, CW, FSK Data Exchange MIL-STD 188-110(B) Link 11 Capable ALE Compliant with MIL-STD 188-141 (A)/(B) Remote Controllable transceivers Environmental Requirement MIL-STD-810F 19? Rack Mountable Input Power 110/220 VAC Interested sources shall provide the following: 1. Information from Manufacturers Only. 2. Pricing/Availability information. 3. Any Government Contracts containing recommended equipment. ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS SHALL PROVIDE A RESPONSE NO LATER THAN APRIL 29, 2003 to: XVARGAS@MLCA.USCG.MIL or via facsimile at (757) 628-4134/35. All information shall contain the RFI # DTCG84-03-R-AAT106. In addition, please specify the following: 1) Business Size and Type. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. If a solicitation is issued in the future, it will be released and made available on the Federal Business Opportunities website.
