Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The commercial items are for the HEMTT and are as follows: a Engine Parts Kit, a Filter Parts Kit, a Brakes and Axles Parts Kit, a Lower Truck Parts Kit, a Crane Parts Kit, a hydraulic Parts Kit, a Electrical Parts Kit, Cab Parts Kit, a Insulation Parts Kit, and a Data Plates Parts Kit. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-12. The NAICS code is 336999 and the SIC code is 3999. The applicable various parts listings are too lengthy to include in this document. The required delivery date is 1 June 2003 and delivery shall be to the Maintenance Center, MCLB, Albany, GA. A complete address will be provided at the time of award. Inspection and acceptance will at origin. Shipments will be FOB Destination. Preservation/Packaging/ Packing/Marking Requirements shall be best commercial practice in accordance. Provisions FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis o f price, the ability to meet the required delivery date, and evidence of complete familiarity with the various end items. All offerors must include a completed copy of the provision FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ?Commercial Items, with submitted offers. All offers are due by 1:30 p.m. 15 calendar days after this synopsis is published. All interested parties should submit their response to Lou Chavers at Contracts Department (Code 891), P.O.
