- Request for Information (RFI) - The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston (SSC CH) seeks sources and information concerning software and hardware capabilities of different vendors? access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance systems. It is requested that each vendor fill out the attached Excel spreadsheet in the ?Comply?? column. Vendors need only respond to the relevant scopes of work. Optional Requirement: Demonstration of security system - We are interested in a potential demonstration of any security system-related technology to achieve a significant increase in integrated functionality or operational performance in an operational setting. Any demonstration provided would be at the vendor?s expense. No reimbursement of any costs will be made by the Government. Submittals: Interested parties should submit (1) completed Market Survey spreadsheet; (2) Technical information and materials regarding existing and proposed products, technologies, and research. This includes, but is not limited to, current and/or projected performance capabilities and potential delivery schedules; (3) A brief description of relevant and recently completed efforts; (4) Pertinent company information, including contact person, phone number and email address. No part of the submittal will be returned. The applicable NAICS code for this RFI is 334119 or 334 in general. Responses to this RFI should be mailed to: SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston, Attn: Code 742PW, P.O. Box 190022, N. Charleston, SC, 29419-9022. Please provide 3 copies of any hardcopy items. Responses are due by 30 APR 2003. This RFI is for planning purposes only, and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of an offer. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Responders will not be provided any written correspondence. The purpose of this request for information is to determine which technology is best viable for use.
