- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Request for Proposals (RFP) for one each powder coating spray booth to be used for the application of thermoset powdered paint coating to bare metal components of a wide range of sizes. The booth shall be a self-contained work environment including dust collection, filtering, exhaust apparatus, electrical control panel, and lighting. The components requiring coating application will be processed in short-run batches by suspending them from a crane through a crane slot designed into the booth, with operators spraying from both sides while standing inside the booth. Approximate exterior dimensions of the booth required are 21? wide x 17? high x 35? deep. The booth shall operate on 460 V, 60 Hz, 3 phase power. In addition to other relevant codes, the booth shall be in conformance with OSHA 1910.107 Spray Finishing, OSHA 1910.94 Ventilation, OSHA 1910.95 Noise Exposure, NFPA 33 (Spray Applications), ASHRAE RP 531 and Standard 52-76 for dry filtration, and 29 CFR 1910.107 Ventilation. Installation, start-up, training, and submission of logistical support data will also be required as part of the contract. The destination for this solicitation is NAVAIRSEFAC, Solomons, MD. This requirement shall be fulfilled by supplying ?commercial items? as defined in Section 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
