- UNICOR intends to enter into a five year firm fixed price requirements type contract for Panels and Tops for FCC Allenwood, PA and FCI Sheridan, OR. The solicitation number is FN1161-03 and this solicitation is issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP). The items consist of Cherry Tops, Round Table Tops, Top Core, Conference Table tops, Magazine table tops, Ash White Particleboard, Cherry Cherry Particleboard, Corner Table Tops, Interior Edgeband Top Core, and Interior Band Top Core. Additional specifications will be available in solicitation document. Delivery is 45 days for tops for initial delivery order and 21 days after receipt of each subsequent delivery order for Allenwood. Delivery is 30 days for panels for initial delivery order and 14 days after receipt of each subsequent delivery order for Allenwood. Delivery is 30 days for tops for initial delivery order and 14 days after receipt of each subsequent delivery order for Sheridan. Delivery is 30 days for panels for initial delivery order and 14 days after receipt of each subsequent delivery order for Sheridan. Offerors will be required to maintain a consignment inventory at UNICOR?s factory locations. Consignment levels will be identified in solicitation document. The minimum delivery order quantity for Allenwood is 100 panels/tops, Maximum delivery order quantity for Allenwood is 2500 panels/tops and the combination delivery order quantity for Allenwood is 5,000 panels/tops. The minimum delivery order quantity for Sheridan is 100 panels/tops, Maximum delivery order quantity for Sheridan is 2500 panels/tops and the combination delivery order quantity for Sheridan is 5,000 panels/tops. Three (3) samples of each item shall be sent to the Product Support Center (PSC), 9595 West Quincy Avenue, Littleton, CO 80123, Attn: Doug Gesner. Samples must be received by the offer closing date and time for offer to be considered for award. Offerors who have previously provided these products and have been approved by the PSC need not submit samples for this requirement. Samples sent to the PSC for testing shall contain the solicitation number and UNICOR stock number as provided in solicitation document. This is a full and open competitive Request for Proposal. Offerors are advised that the Government intends to evaluate offers and award on a multiple award basis. There will be four awards made, one for tops for Allenwood, one for panels for Allenwood, one for tops for Sheridan and one for Panels for Sheridan. Offerors shall submit signed and dated offers to the Office Furniture Group, 320 First Street NW, 400 Building, 7th Floor, Washington, DC 20534, ATTN: Bid Custodian. This information shall be displayed on the outside of the envelope with the solicitation number and offer closing date. All offerors must complete the Business Management questionnaire in Section L of solicitation document with three references. References must be for same or similar items only. Proposals submitted with references that are not for same or similar items will not be considered. Offerors who have not done business with UNICOR shall complete the ACH form which can be found on UNICOR?s webpage. Fax proposals are accepted at 202-305-7337, Attn: Bid Custodian, the fax cover sheet shall reference the solicitation number and offer closing date and time. All offerors must acknowledgment all amendments. Offers received after the exact time and date specified will not be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the best value to the government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate proposals: ability to meet specification, past performance and price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. The solicitation will be available on UNICOR?s website at www.unicor.gov and eps.gov on or about April 16, 2003. No copies of the solicitation will be mailed. All responsible offerors may submit an offer which will be considered.
