Description

The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Services (NWS), intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), to Precidia Technologies, Incorporate in Ontario, Canada for a software enhancement of embedded software in IP232 Internet Modem. This company designed, developed, and produced the IP232, and is the only company that has the immediate expertise to enhance this proprietary software. ***The purchase order will require Precidia Technologies, Incorporate upgrade the software of all the units in the field. If any company other that Precidia Technologies upgraded the software, the warranty would be void. Vendors who believe that they can meet this requirement are required to submit in writing an affirmative response demonstrating they can meet the Government requirements. All written responses must include a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Affirmative responses must be received no later than 5 calendar days after the posting of this notice.
