- Description
- This is Amendment 3 to the original synopsis and is intended to replace the original synopsis plus 2 amendments in their entirety. Noun: Main Rotor Dampers, P/N: 369D21400-503, overhaul/replacement contract. Quantity of 200 each (this has been increased from 172 each). Units shall be shipped to Ft. Campbell, KY after overhaul/replacement. Technical data to allow full and open competition is not available. Firms that can provide the services are encouraged to identify themselves to the contracting office who can provide additional information on this requirement. When calling be prepared to state name, address, firms name, and solicitation number. Vendors are referred to MD Helicopters Service Letter DL-72/EL-23/FL-14, 10 February 1988. Sources complying with this service letter (obtaining services from Lord Corporation IAW service letter) will be considered. The resultant contract will be for the overhaul/replacement of Main Rotor Dampers. Items returned/delivered to the Government must be either new or zero hours, FAA approved, and IAW all current MDHI/FAA type certificate holder procedures and guidance. The Government does not have available Statement of Work or copies of applicable standards and guidance. This requirement is no longer a small business set-aside as stated in the original announcement.
