Description
NA The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing Item 488-L, Levee Enlargement and Berms, in Issaquena County, Mississippi. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobilization, clearing and gru bbing, semicompacted levee embankment, semicompacted berm embankment, uncompacted berm embankment, semicompacted retaining dike embankment, uncompacted retaining dike embankment, uncompacted ditch dike embankment, hydraulic dredging in the Mississippi Rive r, placing hydraulic sand fill, removing and replacing existing gravel surfacing, providing new sand-clay-gravel or crushed stone levee surfacing, mowing and turfing, removing and salvaging existing cattle guards and concrete bedding beams, furnishing and installing new cattle guards and new concrete bedding beams, corrugated metal pipe, waterline relocation, new ditches, double gated pipe structure and outlet ditch, beaver gated pipe structure and outlet ditch, semicompacted slough crossing embankment, pro viding as-built drawings (both blueline and electronic), performing associated Contractor quality control (including providing a CQC System Manager who shall perform no other duties in addition to quality control), using the Government-furnished software ( RMS) for electronic exchange of information and management of the contract (See Section 01312 QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM), storm water pollution control and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $10,000,000 and $25,000, 000.
