- Description
- This amendment extends the proposal due date to 4pm EST on Tuesday, 4/22/2003. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Proposals are due 4pm EST on 4/11/2003. The Requisition Number is NWWE0000-3-00008-01, and this solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-12. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334220. This requirement is unrestricted and all interested offerors may submit a proposal. The purpose of this solicitation is to purchase 100 units of GPS Repeater system. The National Weather Service (NWS) operates and maintains a network of Upper Air Sites at locations throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and the Pacific region. The NWS will use a Global Positioning System (GPS) signal re-radiating or repeater system at each upper air site for indoor preparation and base lining with GPS data prior to radiosonde launch. Offeror must submit a technical response in accordance with the attached Statement of Work and the Specification. This includes detailed data sheets and catalog pages for all required components and other mounting hardware (see SOW Table 1). The offeror's proposal must also include past performance references for similar work, a maximum of 3 references including the customer's contact information (if Government reference, provide Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) contact information). Limit your technical response to no more than 36 pages and submit the proposal ELECTRONICALLY to the contract specialist listed below. Submit pricing and answers to the Representations and Certifications (for instructions, see FAR 52.212-3 referenced below) separately. Delivery term is FOB destination. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items (Oct 2000), 52.212-2 Evaluation - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Evaluation factors are based on lowest price technically acceptable with past performance being significant part of technical evaluation.
