- This solicitation consists of plant survey services for the Black Hills National Forest, SD. The project is identified as an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract covering these services designated in task orders covering a variety of project prescriptions. Work consists of providing a work plan, conduct botanical surveys including collection of data on target plant species and habitats of interest, map survey boundary, complete survey forms, and submit a draft and final report. It is anticipated these services will be for the base year and for each of the four option years. Two basic types of services are required including surveys consisting of mixed probability plant habitat and surveys with a high probability of plant habitat. It is expected that more than one contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The successful contractor(s) will be chosen through a best value process stated in the solicitation. Each task order will be competitive with the successful contractors. Depending on the results of that task order competition, the estimated quantity may result in award to several contractors or the bulk of the work may flow just to one contractor. The minimum guaranteed amount is $5,000 per contractor for the base year only. The performance period is expected to be from July 1, 2003 or date of contract award through June 30, 2004, or one year from date of award with 4 consecutive option years. The NAICS code is 115310. This is a 100% small business set-aside. See Numbered Note No. 1. This is an electronic solicitation only. All documents will be posted to fedbizopps.gov for download from this website exclusively. The solicitation is expected to be issued April 28, 2003. A pre-proposal conference is tentatively scheduled for May 14, 2003. Proposals are expected to be due by May 22, 2003.
