Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F7551V30800100 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13. The solicitation is issued 100% small business set aside. The associated NAICS code is 421120 with a size standard of 500. The resulting contract shall be issued as a firm-fixed-price. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, and supplies necessary to provide cost estimate and re-build of damaged rear differential axle assembly for a Kovatch R-11 Truck, Eng. Mod/Size: C8.3L-275 required by McGuire AFB NJ in accordance with the solicitation provided herein. The contractor shall provide a new axle utilizing old (still usable) and new parts for the carrier assembly that goes inside the housing re-built and provide warranty of work. Due to contractor inability to predetermine exact parts required for re-build repair, quotes should be based on an estimated cost, estimated number of labor hours and exact hourly labor rate. The contractor shall not proceed with re-build repair work unless authorized by the Contracting Officer. Award will be issued on a not-to-exceed basis. Upon completion of re-build repair work the contractor shall provide a detailed invoice to the Contracting Officer listing all parts repaired, replaced, and or purchased to include exact labor hours utilized to definitize the award. The government will provide transportation for the damaged axle to and from the contractor’s facility. Quotes are due on 18 Apr 2003 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time and must reference the solicitation number on the outside of your package for identification purposes. ***Faxed or e-mailed proposals will be accepted*** Faxed quotes should be sent to (609-754-4642. E-mail quotes to angie.covington@mcguire.af.mil. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors—Commercial Items, and 52.212-2, Evaluation--Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal is included by reference and will apply to this acquisition. Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorporated by reference: (1) DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and conditions required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items. The following clauses under paragraph (b) of 252.212-7001 are amended to read: 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program, 252.225-7007, Buy American Act-Trade Agreements-Balance of Payment Program, 252.225-7036, Buy American Act-North American Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act-Balance of Payment Program. This combined/synopsis solicitation is available on the FedBizOpps (EPS) website at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
