- Description
- NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Offers(RFO)] forRepair Roofs Various Buildings at the NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio. The work to be performed under this project consists of providing the labor, equipment, and materials to remove the existing roofing systems, including insulation, installing new insulation, built-up roof systems, gutters and roof drains, and performing tuck-pointing of existing brick joints on buildings. Base Offer work shall consist of removing existing gravel, multi-ply roofing membranes, flashing, and insulation from existing roof deck, and install new insulation, multi-ply roofing membranes, flood coat and gravel on buildings number 6, 15, 21, and 102. Work includes the replacement of metal roof edges, wood blocking at perimeters and curbs, wood block equipment supports, installation of new equipment support rails, roof drains, gutters, walk pads and metal flashing, tuck-pointing of existing masonry brick joints, removal of existing steel grating, painting of existing metal roof deck, removal of small roof curbs and closing up existing roof decking. OPTIONS: Option One Building Number 53; Option Two Building Number 54; Option Three Building Number 55; Option Four Building Number 56. The magnitude of the Construction project is estimated between $500,000. and $1,000,000. A FIXED PRICE CONTRACT is contemplated. This work is considered "SPECIALTY TRADE CONTRACTORS". The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238160 and $12.0 million in three-year average annual receipts for determining whether or not a business is small. THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Technical and procurement related questions shall be directed to: Erick.N.Lupson@nasa.gov. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Drawings and specifications will be available from a local BLUE PRINTER listed in the RFO. The Period of Performance shall be stated in the RFO. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". THE SOLICITATION SHALL BE POSTED AS SOON AS AN RFO OPENING DATE IS ESTABLISHED. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of specifications and drawings] will be available over the INTERNET. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 2000 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospectiv3 offers shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer.
