Description
NAICS Code: 514210 The United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Office of the Inspector General is requesting fixed price quotes for the scanning, conversion, and storage of paper documents on microfiche. Over time, the Office of the Inspector General has accumulated many paper documents. The OIG plans to increase efficiency of document access by scanning the documents into digital format and storing the documents on electronic storage media. The period of performance for this contract shall extend for sixty calendar days beyond the date of award. The anticipated start date for this contract shall be no more than five business days after the date of award of this contract. Documents will be readied by EPA for Contractor pick up and provided in standard bankers' boxes, which will be labeled with general content information. A single Contractor pick-up of approximately 100 boxes of paper, CD-ROM, floppy, and multi-sized documents is expected although partial pickup and return is negotiable. The documents will be in several conditions such as stapled, double sided and color. The Contractor is responsible for transporting the boxes from the EPA site in Washington, DC, completion of scanning/document conversion operations at the Contractor facility, and returning all documents to EPA in their original boxes and their original condition (i.e. stapled or clipped). The government intends to award this contract to a vendor who is currently on the GSA schedule.
