Description
NA This notice is released to announce the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District requirement for an aquatic vegetation control contract. The work to be performed under this contract will be to provide management, supervision, labor, airboats, ski ffs, transportation, equipment, supplies, materials, and quality control to apply liquid herbicidal materials for aquatic vegetation control. Spraying operation will be required in the following Southern Louisiana Parishes: Cameron, Calcasieu, Jefferson Davis, St. Landry, Vermilion, Jefferson, St. Martin, Iberia, Iberville, St. Mary, Ascension, Assumption, Terrebonne, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Charles, Lafourche. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price contract to be competed under s olicitation DACW29-03-R-0032 . The basic contract is estimated to commence on or around 1 January 2004 through 31 December 2004 with four one-year option performance periods. This action is set aside 100% for small business concerns under NAICS code 56173 0 and size standard of $6M. DACW29-03-R-0032 and other information pertaining to this acquisition will be made available electronically through the Federal Business Opportunities electronic posting system web link at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is and will continue to be all potential offerors responsibility to monitor the fedbiz website for any amendments, updates, bidders library, responses to questions and answers as the government will not be maintaining a mailing list. It is incumbent upon all pote ntial offerors to download the solicitation and all other documents from the fedbiz website. Any communications must identify the RFP number, DACW29-03-R0032, company name, point of contact, address, phone number including area code and facsimile number. No telephone requests will be accep ted. The basis of award will be the offer conforming to solicitation specifications that provides the best value to the Government. The anticipated solicitation release date is on or about 28 Apr 2003 with a closing date estimated on or about 4 June 2003 . NOTE: Offeror must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov . Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Numbered note 1 applies. The US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, will hold a Pre-Proposal Conference for Solicitation DACW29-03-R-0032 on 21 May 03 @ 1000 hours. The conference will be held at the New Orleans District Headquarters, Contracting Division Conference Roo m 167, located at 7400 Leake Ave. New Orleans, LA 70118. Each contractor will need to provide the following information NLT 16 May 03 to Gerald Sanderson and Robert Daniels via fax (504) 862-2892: 1. Company Name 2. Person(s) attending (please limit to no more than three (3) per company) 3. Employee number/Driver?s License Number/State for security reasons 4. Phone numbers of each person attending 5. All questions that you would like to have addressed/answered. All contractors will need to bring a complete copy of the solicitation to the conference as no copies will be made available. All persons attending will have to pass through security and present a valid ID. Please report directly to room 167 upon your ar rival at the New Orleans District Headquarters.
