Description

Project Description: Requirements Contract for Repair Electrical Distribution Systems, Various Locations, Okinawa, Japan. The work shall consist of providing all plant, labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and transportation necessary for the demolition of existing transformer and switchgear including enclosures and associated concrete pads, removal of medium voltage and low voltage cables from existing poles and from conduit or raceways both above and below ground, installation of transformers and switchgear, installation of medium voltage (13.8 kv) underground distribution cabling, installation of concrete encased duct banks, installation of concrete junction pedestal, installation of concrete manholes and hand holes, installation of low voltage (600 volts and below) service equipment, load centers, distribution panels and associated conduit and cablings, and any incidental related work in strict accordance with the contract specifications and drawings. Exterior electrical work that is incidental to the intent of construction projects and demolition projects, awarded under a separate contract, will not be performed under this contract. This includes all electrical work that will be repaired by Government personnel and self help work. The magnitude of construction project is more than ?1,354,401,000 ($ 10,000,000). NOTE: THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. AWARDS CAN ONLY BE MADE TO FIRMS LICENSED AND AUTHORIZED TO PERFORM WORK IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN.
