- 2nd Notice of a previously announced opportunity. Interested parties who responded to the 1st notice should not respond to this notice. The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is planning a Direct Conversion with Cost Comparison Study of Soil Conservation Technician Services at NRCS offices at Hanford, Merced, Fresno, San Jacinto, Los Banos, and El Centro, California. These services are currently provided by Government personnel. This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award a contract. Prospective offerors are advised that a contract may not be awarded if the cost of contract performance is determined to be greater than the cost of in-house performance of Government personnel. If a contract ia awarded, only one contract will be awarded for this work. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services. A solicitation will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities site when it is released on approximately April 30, 2003.
