- This synopsis is hereby modified as follows: The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Stanley Associates. The contractor will assist in the ongoing development of the SSGN (Nuclear Powered Guided Missile Submarine) process and will participate in the accreditation of SSGN models and simulation. This task requires a complete understanding of the SSGN Program, a working knowledge of models and simulations, and to be an expert in the field of Verification and Validation. The contractor is currently embedded in the development of the accreditation plans for all model and simulation activities, and has been identified as the Verification, Validation, and Accreditation expert for several of the model and simulation candidates for accreditation. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy ag ency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. Anticipated award is on or about 4/18/02. See numbered note 22.
