Description
NA The mission of the Biometrics Fusion Center (BFC) is to serve as a biometrics technology center of excellence. The BFC interacts with industry, academia, government, and DoD users to establish biometric performance measures that will be used to perform wo rld-class test and evaluation of biometric technologies for DoD consumption. The BFC is charged with operating and maintaining a DoD Biometrics Repository to support test and evaluation of biometrics, and ultimately function as authenticator for the DoD E nterprices Solution on a global basis. The BFC operates the DoD?s biometric test and evaluation laboratory and provides technical implementation and integration support to DoD organizations. The BFC will use the information gathered in response to this R FI to gain an understanding of the range of biometric products available from various sources, as well as the state of the art within the various biometrics fields of commercial and non-commercial endeavors. In addition to product information, the BFC is interested in potential applications of your biometric products and technology; biometric and other technical standards; test process information and test results. The BFC will use the information received in response to this RFI to select products and tec hnologies for test and evaluation. Test results, analyses, and recommendations will be available for DoD use in specific biometric applications. Products selected for testing will be obtained on a purchase basis. Click on link at bottom of page entitled 'this questionnaire', follow instructions for completing the documents, and email to vendorinformation@dodbfc.army.mil. Companies, educational institutions, consortia, nonprofit, and Govern ment organizations are encouraged to respond. Responses will be accepted through June 30, 2003. A single coordinated response is requested from manufacturers with distribution channels to avoid duplicate submissions. Failure to comply with the instructi ons in this RFI or failure to submit complete information may adversely affect your evaluation. However, no direct contracting actions will result from this RFI.
