Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and quotes are being reques ted. A written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is for temporary employment services for Dining Room Attendants for the Kansas Army National Guard Warfighter Exercise and Seminars at Battle Command Training Center, Ft Leavenworth, Kansas. The Dates of the seminar events are 4-9 May 03, 18-23 May 03, 01-06 Jun 03, and an Option for 5-10 Oct 03. The seminars will have two shifts per day (1st Shift 4:30am to 12:30pm and 2nd Shift 12:30pm to 8:00pm) for two each dishwashers/dining room orderl ies per shift (total 4 per day). The dates of the Warfighter exercises are 12-21 Jul 03 and 26 Jul ? 4 Aug 03. The Warfighter events require 3 shifts (around the clock operation, 1st Shift 6:00am to 2:00pm, 2nd Shift 2:00pm to 10:00pm and 3rd Shift 10:00 pm to 6:00am ) for 1 Supervisor Per Shift (total 3 per day); 1 Inventory Control Assistant per shift (total 3 per day); 2 dishwashers/serving line orderlies per shift (total 6 per day); and 3 Dining Room Orderlies per shift (total 9 per day). THE TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT AGENCY MUST BE WITHIN THE TOPKEA, LAWRENCE, LEAVENWORTH, KS OR KANSAS CITY, KS OR MO AREAS. All personnel MUST be citizens of the United States, literate, and have NO criminal background. The government reserves the right to remove any personn el from the premises for criminal behavior, unruly conduct, or entering restricted areas. All personnel will be restricted to the dining facility area only. If requested by the government, a background check may be requested for an individual. All person nel will be clean-shaven (mustache allowed) and maintain good hygiene at all times. Steel toe shoes are recommended for dishwashers. All personnel are required to wear white short sleeve shirt with collar, black trousers (no shorts), and black shoes. Du ring the shift worked, all personnel must have a second set of clean clothing available if needed. All personnel must maintain a professional appearance and appropriate demeanor at all times and have the ability to effectively communicate. All personnel m ust be paid the appropriate Service Contract Wage Rate in accordance with Wage Determination No. 94-2307 Rev 23 for Leavenworth County, Kansas. Wage Rates for Inventory Control Assistant (Order Clerk I) is $10.43 per hour; Dishwasher is $7.42 per hour; an d Dining Room Orderlies (Food Service Worker) is $8.16. Each quote must include a break down of the number of hours and a list of disciplines and hourly rates for each event for a total lump sum amount of the quote. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Ter ms and Conditions (Apr 1998) and the clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract terms and conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Order-Commercial Items (Jun 1998) applies to this acquisition. Under paragraph b, the following clauses are incorporated : 52.222-26, Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities; 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans; 52.225-3, Buy American Act Supplies. The clause at 52.225-13, Restriction on Certain Foreign Purchases; 52.232-33, Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration applies to this solicitation. The clause at DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes to Defense Acquisition of Commercial items (Nov 1995) is applicable to this acquisition.
