- NA The Defense Contracting Command ? Washington, on behalf of the DAMO-FMF, Army G-3, intends to negotiate a purchase order on a sole source basis with the National Conference Center, Lansdowne, VA for conducting the TAA-11 Generating Force (GF) Requirements Conference from 28 May through 4 June 2003. The requirements are: a location outside of the immediate National Capital Region, a facility capable of providing conference support and services for approximately 350 personnel, a facility capable of handling sensitive and secure meetings or materials, and a location in close proximity to Dulles Airport to accommodate of out of area attendees. The facility must be able to accommodate lodging for 250 personnel for 9 nights, three meals per day for 350 personne l, break areas, supplied twice a day with refreshments for 350 personnel, one general conference room, 350 person capacity, nine breakout rooms with 30 to 40 person capacity, thirteen breakout rooms with 10 to 20 person capacity, six breakout rooms with 5 to 10 person capacity, fourteen voice/modem/fax phone lines, four T1 dedicated data lines, one large and one medium capacity copier, two safes for storage of classified information, overhead projection and screen for general conference room, portable micro phones, lectern microphone, and table microphones for general conference room, and the abilty to secure functional panel rooms during classified discussions. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and nego tiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within fifteen days of the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
