Description

The following solicitation will be issued on or about 22 April 2003: F61040 03 R0003 ? Provide all plant, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work under Project MQNA 97-1079, & 1081 Replacing Primary Electrical Distribution System, eliminating pole-top transformer and open secondary distribution, and replacing street lighting at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. The project performance period is expected to be 485 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 dollars. Performance Price Tradeoffs (PPT) procedures will be utilized for this procurement and proposals will be solicited on a firm-fixed price lump sum basis. The North American Industry Classification System code assigned to this acquisition is 235310. This requirement will be full and open competition. The Request for Proposal (RFP) package will be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov. A pre-proposal conference and a site visit will be held at Lajes Field on or about 7 May 2003. Proposals will be due not later than 4:00pm (local time) on or about 22 May 2003. The RFP package will be available on the Internet only. There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. The solicitation, plans, specifications & drawings will not be provided in a printed-paper format; However, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government?s best interest. All proposals and other normal documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium. T-615, Lajes Field, Azores Portugal 09720-7775, or e-mail to lynn.mcmiller@lajes.af.mil or joseph.preusser@lajes.af.mil All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on the EPS are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFP through their e-mail addresses. No telephone requests will be accepted.
