- Description
- The work consists of the contractor furnishing all labor, material, equipment, supervision, work and facilities necessary to perform all operations, in strict accordance with specifications and applicable drawings. The scope of work for this project includes renovate and alter Base Library to install/construct Video Teleconferencing Center/Learning Resource Center at Clear AFS, Alaska. Project renovates approximately 4,000 SF of vacant floor space on the 2nd floor of Bldg 201 to provide a video conferencing and learning center. Essential elements of the new construction will include a library facility, computer-learning classroom, lecture hall, office, testing room, break room and toilet. Upgrades to electrical and mechanical systems are required for support of the new functional areas. Asbestos and lead-based paint are present in the construction area. Asbestos containing materials will be abated. It is anticipated that handling of LBP materials will consist of removal of the entire component with minimum disturbance and no removal of the paint from substrate. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 236220 with a size standard of $28.5 million. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This acquisition is being solicited under full and open competition conditions; however, the solicitation will provide for HUBZone Evaluation in accordance with FAR 19.1307. THIS SOLICITATION IS PAPERLESS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE VIA CD-ROM. AMENDMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED ON THE INTERNET ONLY. Award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract and the total performance period is 180 calendar days. **NOTE: All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract award from any DOD activity. Contractors may access the Internet site at: http://www.ccr.gov to register and/or obtain information about the CCR program.** The solicitation will be available on or about 25 April 2003.
