Description

THIS IS A SECOND SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. IF YOU RESPONDED TO THE FIRST SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS NOTICE. The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is planning a Direct Conversion with Cost Comparison Study of clerical support services at the NRCS Area Office in Olympia, Washington. These services are currently being performed by Government personnel. Major components of this work include; managing incoming and outgoing telephone calls; receiving visitors and responding to them in a professional manner; communicating with employees in a courteous and respectful manner; performing reproduction and duplication services as requested; handling incoming and outgoing mail utilizing automated communication techniques (facsimile, email, voice messaging, etc.); preparing a wide range of documents utilizing various computer software packages; typing services; proofreading; filing with minimal errors, and organizing meetings and conferences. Prospective offerors are advised that a contract may not be awarded if the cost of contract performance is determined to be greater than the cost of in-house performance by Government personnel. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561110. The solicitation will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities website when it is released. A solicitation will be released approximately April 23, 2003.
