- Description
- Solicitation will be issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The intent of the contract is to provide for the storage of roads in the Kadashan River and Corner Creek watersheds. Work consists of treatment of the roadway to restore aquatic organism passage and prevent potential alterations of drainage patterns by removal of some existing corrugated metal pipes (CMP), removal and recovery of a permanent bridge, and seeding of disturbed areas. The project will include construction of earthen vehicle barriers, several armored rock fords and drivable water bars, and one log stringer ATV Bridge in former CMP locations. Miscellaneous clean up of stored culverts, floats, etc. will also be performed between the Corner Bay Work Center and sort yard. The CMP shall become property of the contractor upon removal and shall be removed from Government property. The bridge shall be salvaged, moved, and unloaded at Woodpecker Cove, Mitkof Island, marine access facility. The project is located on the south shore of Tenekee Inlet on southern Chichagof Island in southeast Alaska. The Corner Bay Marine Access Facility can be found in the Sitka (C-4) Quadrangle in Section 1, T. 48 S., R. 63 E. The road system is accessible by water and air only. The beginning of the project is located at Kilometer Post (Km.) 0.00 on road 7540CB, approximately 10 kilometers from the marine access facilities at Corner Bay. The estimated price range for this acquisition is $25,000 to $100,000. The performance period is 30 days. The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about April 22, 2003 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation via the Internet if possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation KTN-03-25. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 21 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
