- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking concerns having the ability to provide a Secured Juvenile Facility for juvenile male federal offenders held under various United States Statutes. Services required include insuring control, supervision, discipline, as well as providing education and vocational training, and psychological evaluation and treatment for the juvenile federal offenders. The services for this Secure Juvenile Facility shall be performed in accordance with the Federal Bureau of Prisons Statement of Work, Secured Juvenile Facility, amended February 2002. The place of performance can be in the following counties in the state of Alabama: Montgomery, Macon, Lee, Autauga, Lowndes, Elmore, Shelby, Houston, Pike, Dale, Coffee, and Geneva. A requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices with a two-year base period and three (3) one-year options period is anticipated. The estimated number of inmate days are 10,950 for the base period; 5,475 for option year one; 5,490 for option year two; and 5,475 for option year three; respectively. The solicitation will be available on or about May 17, 2003, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The estimated closing date of the solicitation is July 16, 2003. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by this agency. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone requests or written requests for solicitation will be accepted.
