Description
NA The USPFO For Tennessee has a requirement for construction of the following work: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, incidentals, and perform all work as required to construct a 7,148 square foot, two story building addition to Buil ding 420, and, to provide architectural, mechanical, and electrical related repairs/upgrades throughout the existing building, including all related exterior work and site utilities. The new 3,653 square foot building addition on the first level will accom modate the following functions for the Medical Training Facility: administrative, office, classroom/training, physical exam, toilet, and storage. The new 3,495 square foot building addition on the second level will accommodate the following functions for t he Dining Hall Facility: office, classroom/training, kitchen, food preparation, locker room/toilet, and storage. Demolition of existing brick fa?ade, window/door frames and glazing, elevated pedestrian walkway and ramp constructed of structural steel and c oncrete, sidewalks, underground utilities, interior gypsum wall partitions, ceilings, floor finishes, mechanical piping and ductwork, light fixtures, wiring, and HVAC chiller and pumps is required. There is not any asbestos in the existing facility. Constr uction of new addition consists of structural steel framing on spread footings with concrete slab on grade, concrete slab on metal deck intermediate floor, and built-up roofing over metal decking and bar joists. Exterior wall construction to be brick over sheathing and heavy gauge metal framing. Interior architectural finishes are required. A new replacement chiller to serve the entire facility will be required. Interior HVAC upgrades and new work, including HVAC digital controls are required. Interior elec trical upgrades and new work are required. Underground site utilities will require relocation and/or extension in some locations to accommodate the new building addition. Site improvements include, but are not limited to, new concrete sidewalks, a new exte rior concrete ramp with handrails, area lighting, finished grade work with lawn seeding, and minor landscaping. Phasing of building demolition, site utility work, and all new construction will be required in order for the existing facility to remain occupi ed and in operation eighteen hours a day seven days a week. Brief utility/HVAC outages will be permitted to facilitate new connections, and will be scheduled around the Government?s operation. Contractor will be required to obtain security credentials from the 134th Security Forces Squadron on Base for all workers, and will provide escort for material deliveries from the main gate to the project site for the duration of the contract. Solicitation documents will be available o/a 21 APR 03. Prospective Bidd ers may register to receive solicitation documents electronically at www.nationalguardcontracting.org. All solicitation documents to include plans and specifications will be issued in electronic format. The estimated magnitude of construction for this pr oject is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance period will be 365 calendar days from issuance of notice to proceed. Contractors are required to identify their business size and status and must be registered with the Central Contractor Registrati on database prior to award of the contract. NAICS code is 233320 with a size standard of $27,500,000. Subcontracting plans are required from large businesses. This project is unrestricted.
