- Description
- Bangtail Divide Trail #504 - All phases of new construction of approximately 6.3 miles of trail including cleaning and grubbing, excavation, switchbacks, rock waterbars, grade dips, culvert installations, rock retaining walls, sign/post installations, route markers and rock cairns. The entire project is outside any wilderness area. It is a requirement of this contract that a motorized mini-excavator be used to construct the specified trail tread. The maximum outside track to track widths of an excavator shall not exceed 40 inches. Other types of motorized equipment that will be allowed on this project are chain saws, tracked gravel haulers, rock drills, four wheel ATVs and motorcycles for tool employee transpostation only. The need for blasting is highly probable in this contract and the successful bidder shall have all the State and Federal qualifications, safety equipment and signs to employ the use and storage of explosives. The entire solicitation package will be posted on the FEDBIZOPPS website for downloading. Quotes can be submitted directly from the informaiton provided on that website. It is anticipated that the entire solicitation will be posted 22 Aprl 2003.
