- Description
- BUS DUCT: The Marine Corps is looking for information from industry on bus ducts that will run three 100KW Marine Corps generators (MEP-007) or three 60 KW (MEP 806) generators in series to provide electric power to the Field Food Service System. The Field Food Service System is a relatively new all electric kitchen comprised of a Marine Rapid Deployment Kitchen (MRDK) and a Field Sanitation Unit (FSU). The MRDK and FSU maximum power draw is 198 KW. 144KW for the MRDK and 54KW for the FSU. Each generator should be individually hooked into the bus duct and provide enough power output to safely power the MRDK and the FSU. The MRDK has four individual electric cables and a ground . The FSU has a cable bundle with a ground. All power is three phase and all cable ends that hook into the bus duct from the generators or the MRDK and FSU will be left bare. Electric cables are not required. Information must be submitted by 1:00 PM (EST) 11 Feb 2003. Materials submitted will not be returned. Point of contact is Michelle Taninecz.
