Description
This solicitation is being advertised "UNRESTRICTED" for full and open competition. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 562111, with a Size Standard of $10,500,000.00. The intention of this solicitation is to obtain solid waste collection and disposal services at Beaufort Naval Hospital, Laurel Bay, and The Marine Corps Air Station communities by means of a combination firm fixed-price and indefinite quantity contract. If during the term of this contract the need arises to incorporate the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island into this contract, the Government will modify the contract in accordance with the contract clause FAR 52.243-1, referred to in Section I. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, refuse containers of various capacities and equipment necessary to collect and dispose of solid waste, including the collection and disposal of garbage, debris, rubbish, and other discarded solid wastes resulting from industrial, commercial, and community activities, as specified in the specifications. Excluded from this function is collection and disposal of hazardous wastes, other pollutants in water resources such as silt and dissolved or suspended solids, and infectious/medical wastes. The type of contract to be awarded will be a combination Firm Fixed price/Indefinite Quantity type contract. The contract will be for a base period and contain option provisions for a total contract term not to exceed 60 months. The Government intends to issue the entire solicitation on or about 21 April 2003. Viewing and downloading will be available at www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Prospective Offerors must register themselves on the website. ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFEROR'S MUST REGISTER IN THE CCR DATA BASE AT www.ccr.gov. LACK OF REGISTRATION IN THE CCR DATA BASE WILL MAKE AN OFFEROR INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. The official plan holder's list will be maintained and can be printed from the web site. Amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading. This will normally be the only method of distributing amendments; therefore IT IS THE OFFEROR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION.
