Description
NA Synopsis: Convert ten (10) existing high pressure CO2 fire suppression systems to fully modernized low pressure CO2 bulk storage system for the 27 main generating units, two (2) station service units, the station service transformer, and the oil storage r oom. The work will include removal and replacement of the existing systems, replacement of the control panels (10), and integration of the fire-warning annunciation into the general data acquisition and control (GDACS) system. The new system will include two new 6-ton CO2 bulk refrigerated storage tanks, a supply header and a pilot header along the length of the powerhouse with branch piping to new supervised routing valves. Some existing piping and components will be reused. Leak detection will consist of an odorizer as well as O2 analyzers, installed on each system. Alarms and warning signs will be installed in applicable locations. The GDACS control software is a priority, and the Government will supply the system control software. The Contractor w ill need to coordinate with the software provider for installation and testing of the system. All work tasks shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications package.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 23822 0 with a size standard of $12 Million. Project is open to both large and small businesses. If you are a large business and your proposal will exceed $1 million, you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan with goals for small, HUB Zone, small disadvantaged, small woman-owned, and small veteran-owned concerns. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $12 mill ion.
