- Description
- The US Army TACOM-ARDEC intends to award a new contract, the period of performance of which will be thirty (30) months from date of award, for the design and prototype development of a Taser Anti-Personnel Munition (TAPM) to support the Area Denial-to Personnel (AD-P) program to General Dynamics, Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GDOTS), Redmond WA on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. Rational being that as GDOTS has developed a TAPM that meets the emerging requirements of a Hand Emplaced Non-Lethal Munition, it would not be economical nor timely to compete this requirement given the costs and time necessary for another contractor to become familiar enough with the TAPM to match the current technological advancement.
