- Solicitation/Synopsis: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, F48608-03-Q-0012, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. The Standard Industrial Classification Number is 2389 and the Business Size Standard is 500. The proposed contract listed here is Set-Aside: 100% for Small Business. NON-PERSONAL SERVICES: The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, tools, materials, and transportation to supply the following thirty items that make up a clothing item called a spearsuit and meet the following descriptions and quantities: Items 0001 ? 0004 Socks, 15 in, 3-ply laminate -one outer layer 96% nylon and 4% lycra, two polyurethane polymer membrane, and three DuPont coolmax polyester, over the calf, Color: Black, respectively 158 Ea Med, 50 Ea Sm, 137 Ea Lg, and 16 Ea Extra Lg, Manufacture: Seal Skinz or Equal. Items 0005 ? 0008 Gloves, insulated flight/maintenance, 9 oz Nomex outershell/leather palms, nylon tricot lining, heat and fire resistance to 700 degrees, Color: Black, respectively 41 Ea Sm, 128 Ea Med, 111 Ea Lg, and 13 Ea Extra Lg. Items 0009 ? 0015 Underwear Set Lightweight, treated 100% polyester knit, crew neck, contoured longer tail in back, long sleeves with thumb hole, elastic waistband, access fly, and flat seam construction to reduce chafing, Color: Black, respectively 20 Ea Sm/Reg, 50 Ea Med/Reg, 50 Ea Med/Long, 40 Ea Lg/Reg, 40 Ea Lg/Long, 5 Ea Extra Lg/Reg, and 5 Ea Extra Lg/Long. Items 0016 ? 0021 Underwear Set Midweight, treated 100% polyester stretch knit, undershirt has low bulk, foldover collar, contoured longer tail back and neck to chest zipper and drawer has elastic waistband, access fly, and flat seam construction to reduce chafing, Color: Black, respectively 20 Ea Sm/Reg, 50 Ea Med/Reg, 50 Ea Med/Long, 40 Ea Lg/Reg, 40 Ea Lg/Long, 5 Ea Extra Lg/Reg, and 5 Ea Extra Lg/Long. Items 0022 ? 0028 Bib Overalls, medium weight stretch 96% polyester/4% lycra fleece, outer surface smooth, non-snag nylon knit with insulating polyester fleece inside, bibs feature two-way front zipper, mid chest inner pockets, full-length side zippers, rainbow drop reinforced seat, reinforced knees, and flat seam construction to reduce bulk, Color: Black, respectively 20 Ea Sm/Reg, 50 Ea Med/Reg, 50 Ea Med/Long, 40 Ea Lg/Reg, 40 Ea Lg/Long, 5 Ea Extra Lg/Reg, and 5 Ea Extra Lg/Long. Items 0029 ? 0030 Jacket, heavyweight fleece wind resistant 100% polyester, zipper front closure, pit zips for ventilation, two zippered hand warmer pockets, inner pockets and windproof front and back yoke, wristovers for extra hand warmth and hood with barrel lock drawstrings, Color: Black, respectively 50 Ea Med/Reg and 20 Ea Sm/Reg. SPEARS? insulation subsystem includes five garments that provide protection to minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Items 0005 ? 0030 Manufacture: Dakota Outerwear or Equal. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition in accordance with the specifications. The provisions at 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition in accordance with the specifications. The provisions at 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition with the blanks filled in as follows: Summary of Services Proposed: Request for Quotation will be evaluated for price and compatibility with specifications. Offers shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. No addenda apply.
