- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to co-sponsor the Congestion Symposium in Washington, DC in June 2003. FHWA contribution will cover cost of organizing and conducting the 2-day symposium. The symposium will serve to improve the FHWA understanding of various transportation program and policy issues surrounding congestion. UCLA has the experience and expertise in bringing together a variety of viewpoints that provide a unique combination of academic rigor and policy relevance. UCLA is uniquely qualified to conduct the symposium; no other known source could arrange and conduct the symposium to provide the desired outcome. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the award date is on or about April 15, 2003.
