- Description
- The National Marine Fisheries Service has a requirement for vessel support to conduct research for the development of methods to remotely identify and size tuna and other fishes that are associated with drifting commercial fish aggregating devices (FADs) used in purse-seine U.S. tuna fishery in the tropical Pacific. The contractor must provide a class 6 purse seiner; minimum overall length 67M (220 ft.); outfitted with gear and crew for commercial purse seine fishing operations; must have conducted commercial tuna fishing operations in the tropical Pacific within the last 12 months; the vessel will port in American Samoa for this work.
