- Description
- Public-key Infrastructure (PKI) electronic signature software is required for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Information and Technology, for 5000 seats. The proposed contract action is for software and database support services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with VeriSign, Inc., 21355 Ridge Top Circle, Dulles, VA 20166, 703-948-4462. The Department of Veterans Affairs has made a business determination to standardize the PKI capability with the Verisign product. Due to the compelling need for these services, responses to this announcement must be received by COB March 27, 2003. The determination to compete this requirement, based on the responses received, is solely within the discretion of the Government. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published.
