- Description
- The intent of this contract is to secure services for site preparation by removing conifers and brush through mechanical mastication according to contract specifications. Thinning shall consist of selecting leave trees and masticating all other trees, slash, and brush except for areas designated by the COR. This project consists of 91 acres, contract time 50 days. Start work date June 30, 2003. Estimated solicitation issue date 4/22/03. Contractor furnished equipment shall be of a low ground pressure type that shall not exceed a maximum of 6 psi, machine width maximum shall not exceed 12 feet, machine shall be equipped with a masticating or mulching head capable of reaching at least 20 feet from center of machine.
