Description
This SOW explains the details for the cleaning of the HVAC coils for the facilities listed on schedule A. for Luke AFB Arizona. 1. Qualifications: All work shall be performed by certified personnel experienced in the handling of bonded antimicrobials and by qualified personnel in the cleaning of air handler coils and allied HVAC equipment. All necessary HVAC licensing must be maintained during the contract period. 2. Work Schedule: Normal work hours are 0730-1630 Monday-Friday excluding federal holidays. Inspections of the work shall be made during the cleaning operations or, immediately thereafter. 3. Cleaning Procedures for coil: Contractor shall clean the units listed on schedule A. Coil cleaning consists of an application of an alkaline soft water solution (no acids or caustics) at 150 to 500 PSI to face of coil. Solution dwell time is to be allowed. Soft water pressure to be increased (up to 4500PSI) during cleaning cycle until the coil or operative conditions prevent further increases. Coil is to be rinsed with ambient soft water until no solution residue is evident. After rinse cycle, condensate pan is to be vacuumed of any solids rinsed from coil. 4. Clean the supply duct area. 5. Cleaning procedures for blower assembly: Clean entire assembly and lubricate motor. Perform operations check upon completion. Identify inoperative motors to MSgt Anthony Lancaster. 6. Coil cleaning shall be completed in lots of 10 each for the dormitories and billeting facilities. These 10 rooms should be scheduled ahead of time to ensure there are no occupants in the room at the time of coil cleaning. If there are occupants in the room, an escort shall be provided. 7. The project site will be cleaned of any debris and returned to original condition after completion of the job. 8. Inspection and Acceptance: Upon completion of the work, the contractor shall arrange for a final inspection. Civil Engineering personnel will perform the final inspection.
