- Naval Research Laboratory intends to award to Maryland Department of Natural Resources, on other than full and open competitive basis, an award provide a research vessel to assist in experiments in the Chesapeake Bay. Sole source is based on the ability of Maryland Department of Natural Resources to provide a vessel with specific requirements for a digital bathymetric survey system, data networking, power, sufficient sheltered and conditioned spaces, draft, launch, towing and retrieval capabilities for a side-scan/chirp/magnetometer, and precise track-keeping ability.
