- The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair in Newport News, Virginia intends to award a purchase order/contract to EMS Ice, 513 Bonsack Court in Chesapeake, Va 23322 for ventilation system microbial contamination remediation using a patented cryogenic cleaning process. This purchase will be awarded under simplified acquisition procedures and other than full and open competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The award will be made by March 18,2003. This notice is not a request for quotation. No solicitation document is available, and telephone, fax, or E-mail request will not be honered. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this purchase based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice, if any, must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
