Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to modify sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-01-G-5255 with Raytheon Company, Electronic Systems Division, 430 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA 01776 to extend the ordering period for one year from the current expiration date of 1 April 2003. Orders will be issued for fabrication, materials, testing and installation of spare and repair parts to make up engineering change kits (ECKs) and Ordnance Alteration (ORDALT) Kits for the MK-74 Missile Fire Control System (FCS). The MK-74 Missile FCS covers a number of major system components such as OT-17 and 134 Continuous Wave Illuminators, the Universal Continuous Wave Illuminator Module, the MK 73 Director and the MK 72 Signal Data Converter. The BOA and subsequent orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Raytheon is the original designer, developer, and so le manufacturer of the MK 74 MFCS and, therefore, possesses the unique experience and knowledge to perform the work that is required by the Government.
