Description
NA Federal Supply Class (FSC) 5450, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 335931, size standard, 500 employees. Solicitation is unrestricted. Resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract. Contractor shall provide the following items: Item 1: Mast Lightning Protection, 87 each, galvanized, multisided, 60 feet tall. Item 2: Mast Lightning Protection, 4 each, galvanized, multisided, 30 feet tall. Item 3: Mast Lightning Protection, 52 each, galvanized, multisided, 45 feet tall. I tem 4: Mast Lightning Protection, 12 each, galvanized, multisided, 70 feet tall. Item 5: Mast Lightning Protection, 12 each, galvanized, multisided, 75 feet tall. Item 6: Mast Lightning Protection, 44 each, galvanized, multisided, 50 feet tall. Item 7: Mast Lightning Protection, 24 each, galvanized, multisided, 65 feet tall. Item 8: Mast Lightning Protection, 20 each, galvanized, multisided 60 feet tall. Mast will include light fixture mounting plate and hand hole, with ground lug. Items 1 thru 8 must meet Section 25 of IEEE C2, National Electrical Safety Code (1/2 inch Ice and 16 lb/SF Wind) and ASCE Wind (100 mph and 1.3 gust factor). Contractor shall provide 1 ground lug attachment, for #1/0 copper wire at the top of each mast and one 10-inch air te rminal for each mast. Contractor shall provide standard commercial warranty. Installation is not required. FOB destination, McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, McAlester, Oklahoma 74501-9002. Lightning protection mast shall be equal to Valmont Industries, p olygonal tubular masts meeting: ASTM A 123, Zinc (Hot-Dip Galvanized) coatings on iron and steel products, and IEEE C2, National Electrical Safety Code, for 1/2 inch radial ice, and extreme wind of 100 mph, and with number, strength and size of anchor bolt s as recommended by manufacturer of mast. Manufacturer shall provide pole strength calculations, including base plate and anchor bolt reactions, sealed by a registered Professional Engineer. Delivery time is 60 days after date of award. Approximate issue date for this solicitation is March 27, 2003 with a closing date approximately April 11, 2003.
