- Description
- The US Army TACOM ARDEC intends to issue a Request for Quotation for equipment to establish an electronic assembly line at Picatinny Arsenal. This line will produce prototype fuzes in support of research and development efforts and will consist of the following pieces of equipment: 1) Surface mounted semi-automatic screen printer, 2) Adhesive dispenser and component placement, capable of high speed surface mount application, 3) Reflow oven (air only), and 4) Circuit board transfer conveyor to move circuit boards between stations. Full specifications are available upon request. In addition to the equipment, contractors will be required to install and debug the equipment, train Picatinny personnel, supply operation manuals, and provide a one-year warranty (parts and labor) plus a one year maintenance agreement. This announcement also constitiutes market research for these items. It is the Governments intention to award this effort on a firm fixed price basis. A copy of the Request for Quotation will be available on the Internet, on or about April 7, 2003, at http://procnet.pica.army.mil. No Hardcopy Request for Quotations will be issued.
