- Thinning 460 acres on the Tiller Ranger District; Work includes felling off-site ponderosa pine, log removal of felled tree boles over 3 inch diameter and 8 feet length, pre-commercial thinning of other conifer species, release treatment of dominant leave trees, hand-piling of logging slash, tree girdling, post-harvest felling to create down woody material, development and subsequent closure of temporary access, landings and staging areas, road maintenance brushing, blading and drainage work; This project includes separately priced option items for related work; Project completion date is October 31, 2004; This is a Request For Proposals requiring completion of a Questionnaire in addition to a price proposal; Detailed technical proposals are not required; Technical proposal elements include equipment capability, work sequencing, project management, and past performance history; Award evaluation criteria include technical capability and past performance history in addition to price; Award may be made without discussions; Hard copies of the solicitation are not available.
