Description
POC Gayle Harris, 816-926-2630. This request solicits information and interest from GSA FSS Contractors in the business community which may be used in developing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide the lease of multi-functional production printers, with the following requirements: General System Requirements: Run on Windows NT, 2000, and XP; Use TCP/IP protocol to allow for LAN/WAN; Multi-platform Enterprise Client/Server Design; Database Interfaces capabilities (Microsoft SQL, DB2); 24 x 7 Phone Support, 1 year on Site Support and training. Non-proprietary operations: Must be compatible with Windows XP and Microsoft mail messaging. Print Management System Requirements: Web Interface; Accept online orders from users, estimated 3,000 customers, minimum of 25 simultaneous users; ID/password security with graphical interface,e.g., Provide multiple levels of user security; Queue manager software (Prioritizing and job selection printing capabilities); Automated cost accounting computation and reporting/tracking via job, function, process, program and/or event; Simplex and Duplex High Speed Printing (150-200 PPM); Portrait and Landscaping inter-changeable; Production printing operations fail over availability solution; Capabilities for complex form development and printing; Mainframe production printing; Paper quality flexibility; Generate ad hoc reports; Maintain archive/history files; Multiple Stock Capability; Must be compatible with Windows XP and Microsoft mail messaging. Printing Requirements Black and White: Electronic Job Ticketing; Finishing features of punching, inserting, booklet making, and binding; Ability for reduction/enlargement at 38-200%; Ability to handle paper from 16# to 110# index, with size capabilities from 8" x 10" to 14x 18"; Minimum papers supply requirements not less than 5 drawers; Job stacker and stapler must be included as a standard option; Ability to continuously print while the finishing tray is being unloaded; Able to print one job while Ripping (processing) another at the same time; Processing time from the RIP (after RIP) to the printer should be approximately 1,500 pages per minute; The server (front-end) must have the ability to RIP (process) approximately 400 normal printed pages per minute; When creating tabs, the equipment must have the ability to scan an 8.5 x 11 document and print a 9.5 x 12 five-position tabs without a masking function; Must have the ability to scan up to 65 simplex pages per minute; Open architecture; Mail list cleansing and sorting. Color printer requirements (Optional): Capable of producing up to 45 color documents per minute;Minimum 3,000-sheet capacity; Automatic duplex; Automatic document feeder; Must have the ability to edit page color. Example: If a document consist of 50 pages, and all were configured with blue graphics, and the customer wished to have 5 certain pages with red graphics, the ability must be there to edit those required pages and change color. Response to this RFI is due by April 1, 2003. No FAX or Email responses. Currently no solicitation exists. This is strictly a Request for Information. This request does not constitute any obligation on behalf of the Government to ever issue a solicitation.
